The room is empty, the fire is out, the sun has gone down. There are no words to adequately describe this weekend. What a tremendous joy it was to see our family together, finally, after so many years. It was a very emotional time for me. Due to technology and the help of several instrumental techie family members, my Oom Karel Beaupain (87) was able to see his sister Louisa Beaupain-Latuperisa (97 - in Holland) for the first time in many, many, many years. Our family in Holland was able to virtually join our gathering as we took the laptop and webcam around the room to meet everyone that gathered here in California. Thank you to all who helped make this event possible, to those on the planning committee Reinier Heyden Johnny Marmelstein Kelly Carter Brandy Van Zitter-Jongbloed Roy Eric van Broekhuizen, to those who took time from their busy schedules to be with us, to those who gave selflessly of their time and resources, to those who prayed to make this event successful, to those who shared their talents in music, cooking, creativity, organization, communication, to those who gave their hearts. I love you all so much We gathered, ate, drank, played, sang, danced, played music...There are way too many amazing moments that we were all blessed to experience together. But, for me, what I am especially left with is an overwhelming thankfulness for our amazing Beaupain Family. ...and the fun continued, as camped in Malibu for 3 days - and then this coming weekend in Las Vegas for more fun in the sun and dancing the night away!
