The second step in last weeks Slate proof of (Sum n, n=1->infinity)=-1/12, where they added a divergent infinite series (+1, -1, +1...) to another divergent series, made me suspicious, so heres a good link about why the series doesnt really add up to -1/12. (Assigning the series that value is just useful when playing tricks with renormalization, its not useless, its just not really a Sum in the normal sense of the word.)
