The secret of Ruth’s blessing! “……………………..”The man’s name with whom I worked today is Boaz.” – Ruth 2:19 Ruth is an example of a believer. She lost everything in this world. She was a widow and there was no one to give her protection. She was in poverty and in want. Being a Moabite she was despised by the Jews. She was a stranger in the land and she had no hope. Dear friend, your state may be very similar to that of Ruth. You may have lost all your possessions; you may not have any one to protect you, maybe a stranger out of common wealth of Israel. The life of Ruth had a dramatic change; she became a woman of great blessing. How did it happen? What were the reasons of this dramatic change? Naomi raised this important question – Where hast thou gleaned today and where wrought thou? The spirit of God asks you the same question. “Where did you work today? With whom did you have fellowship?” The book of Ruth looks like a biography but you must remember that it is God’s word. The message is spiritual. It describes the life of a Moabite girl who lived in the Old Testament period. What you see here is a shadow but it pinpoints the spiritual realities of the New Testament period, it is my prayer that you should not be carried away by the shadow of the Old Testament. You must understand the spiritual message it has for you in the present context. The heavenly Boaz….. When Ruth left her home, she was empty handed but when she came back she was loaded with corns. This miracle can happen to you today! At this moment you can have these spiritual blessings even before you finish reading this study Ruth had fellowship with Boaz that day and that made all the difference. She worked with him in his field and that was the secret of her blessing. To us who live in the New Testament period, Boaz is not just a man and his life and actions draw our attention to Jesus. What do we know about Boaz from the Book of Ruth? Thank you God Bless you! Martha Machiah Comforting Ministries For prayer or counseling please contact: comfortingministries@gmail
