The secular view of success assumes that Favoritism must be employed, if one is to climb the ladder of accomplishment. Apostle James warns that if one adopts this method Have respect of persons ( James 2: 1 ); what He accomplishes in Gods eyes is sin, But if ye have respect to persons, ye commit sin and are convinced of the law of transgressors ( James 2: 9 ). Convinced of the law as trangressors may be better translated convicted by The law here is not the Mosaic code, but the Royal law, the law of love. Partiality represses genuine love.
