Maraz Adbi Sangam holds literary meet at Bijbehara. Izhar Mubashir, Sachnews Jammu Kashmir: The literary Organisation of South Kashmir Maraz Adbi Sangam held a meeting at Bijbehara. Ghulam Mohammad Rafiq was remembered on his 2nd death anniversary. General Secretary MAS Izhar Mubashir gave a brief introduction of Rafiq. Kaleem Bashir, Ali Shaida, Bashir Zaair and Shahbaz Farooq highlighted the literary activities of Rafiq. Rafiq was prominent poet and writer, who passed away on 24th of January 2013. Rafiq was J&K Cultural Academy award winner for his book Irfan E Wajood, and has written many books. Many issues were discussed in the meeting for the Culture activities, promotion and safeguarding of Kashmiri language. Maraz Adbi Sangam will make every effort to preserve the Kashmiri language, whether it will be its Classical Status or to make it an evaluative subject at Secondary level. The function was presided over by prominent poet and writer Ali Shaida. The other prominent writers and Poets who attended the meeting are Vice President MAS Bashir Zaair, Kaleem Bashir, Riyaz Anznoo, Naadir Ahsan, Mushtaq Zameer, Shahbaz Farooq, Mashru Naseebabadi, Manzoor Khalid, AR Sidiquee and Driver G Mohammad.
