The showers and thunderstorms will lift northeast of the Twin - TopicsExpress

The showers and thunderstorms will lift northeast of the Twin Cities by 8 p.m. then the Eye of the Storm ( center of the low pressure area ) will pass thru clearing out skies and calming down the winds as this should happen between 9pm and 12am. Clouds will then quickly roll back in by 1am and the winds will crank up from the West at 20 to 30 mph and temps will crash from the upper 30s at 12am to the mid 20s by 3am. Also it will snow wont be much be up to 1 from 1am to 7am possible and this could cause slick spots for the rush hour Tuesday morning. Areas that had temperatures near 70 degrees on the Minnesota/South Dakota border near Brookings,SD this afternoon then the tornadoes/funnel clouds now at 7:30pm has temperatures in the upper teens with snow falling. This storm was very dynamic today and if we had temperatures about 10 degrees warmer and higher humidity this could have been a very serious Tornado day. The concern is because of the bitter cold still lingering around in Canada our storms will continue to be dynamic heading through April and May which could lead to some much stronger Tornado outbreaks this Spring.
