The sight of brand new white Hyundai Elantras being used as taxis in Mecca bring to question on why Proton did not penetrate the market earlier. Even at a steep discount, it would have given Proton cars a huge exposure as almost a third of the world population is converging to visit the Holy City for the yearly pilgrimage. I wonder what the advisor of Proton doing other than trying to get money from the government for another financial assistance?
