The sign on the side of the door reads: “Bewusste BMW — Betrugerei Mangelhafte Gestze.” Translates into “BMW Consciously Scams — And Laws Are Inadequate.” Frustrated owners of trouble-ridden cars have often dreamed about destroying them, but Pourmohseni Hadi went a step further in letting out his anger by publicly executing his $160,000-plus BMW M6 in front of a crowd of stunned onlookers outside the Frankfurt Auto Show. The axe attack on his very expensive car followed a reported four-year battle between the Iranian Marble executive and BMW in Italy. The frustrated Mr Hadi reportedly took the offending vehicle to BMW on numerous occasions but technicians were unable to fix the rattling vibrations and rough gear-shifting he was experiencing. And bizarrely, the half-crazed owner is going to have the car fixed so he can drive it to Berlin where he will hack it to pieces once again, in front of the German parliament. Bild, a German website, reported that Hadi explained his actions saying: “I have written a letter to BMW — no answer. Now I answer! With this action! And I will repeat, with repaired car in Berlin, in front of the Bundestag.” It is believed that Mr Hadi was referring to his only option in this case, a civil case which would likely take seven to 10 years to wind through Italian courts. Shortly after Hadi and a friend took a sledgehammer and axe to the car, a police officer arrived on the scene. After showing the officer his identification and demonstrating that he was cleaning up his mess, the destruction was allowed to continue. Eventually, a tow truck arrived and hauled the beat-up Beemer off to the repair shop. Hadi told the German press after carrying out the stunt: “Now I feel better.”
