The signs on our Wall ..wk4. ....continue from last saturday. And truly things became better when the colonial masters left. In the West, for instance, there was free education and many people who could not go to school before, started going to school. The roads were being tarred and youths were getting employment. There was a plan for every child in the West. So, parents had no excuse not to send their children to school. There was provision for every child depending on the ability of the child. There were trade centers and farm settlements all over the western part of the country. Things were going on well until there was a rift between chief Awolowo and Ladoke Akintola, (similarly to Jonathan and Amaechi), and the rift degenerated into chaos, which led to the first military coup. The military came and destroyed what they met on ground. The y had no plan. And we have been in thìs mess since they took over the government. We have been on a downward trend. Perhaps, if they had allowed the civilians to make their mistakes and correct themselves, Nigeria will not be experiencing what it is go through now. Unfortunately, we seems not to be learning from the mistake of the past...to be continued next saturday. Happy weekend.
