The single largest institutional force supporting anti-semitism in the world today are Zionist institutions including Israel. Failing to distinguish between principled criticism of Israel and support for Palestinian rights on the one hand, and anti-Semitic slurs and support for fascist Islamist political movements on the other hand, is applied anti-semitism. Supporting crimes in the name of the Jewish People is anti semitism. Asserting that opposing to anti-semitism and opposing criticism of Israel are one and the same is applied anti-semitism. Equating Jewish identity with Zionist identity is anti-semitic. The opportunistic use of incidents of anti-semitism to advance anti-Palestinian political initiatives is anti-semitic because it undermines genuine anti-racist work.
