The solo exhibit BURADOL by JEFFREY E. SALON at NINEVEH ARTSPACE - TopicsExpress

The solo exhibit BURADOL by JEFFREY E. SALON at NINEVEH ARTSPACE extends kite-flying as a metaphor for freedom from lifes vexations brought about by both personal and societal realities. Children--seemingly innocent as they are-- ride with their kites as their aspirations gain necessary traction. Their aspirational intent, however, transcends the personal as Salons kite-works become a visual commentary on some realities that the ordinary folk would find a space in. Works of art thrive on a sense of outrage about the way things are. Salons career as a young Filipino painter gains artistic gravitas through this exhibit. Prof. Jerry R. Yapo Humanities Dept.
