The standard police complaint is that we depend on them and dont know it. Its got a problem because there are huge interdependencies in our civilization, policing is certainly one of them. But police depend on the rest of us too. We all live precarious lives. It would be interesting to try to factor that into our interactions with police. Demand payment for our work from them before cooperating with them in theirs. Yeah I know they have guns, so we have to consider that as well. Maybe we need lots of police departments. One for each of us. I guess that means we all have to carry. I cant imagine the police would like that. Esp since they have to get home to generate their own electricity and farm their own food. Educate their kids. Write their own Facebook. Recycle their sewage and drive their trash to the dump. Not sure where theyd get the gas for all that.
