The story of perspective: Somewhere, on the west side side of the United States, a man awakens with a smile, despite his alarm failing go off, causing him to sleep in. The man shrugs to himself, gets up, and proceeds to get ready for his day, despite the possibility of being late for work. As the man exits his home, he reads a traffic report of how their was just a four car pile up on his only route to work. Flustered at first, he realizes he will indeed be late. He also understands that there is nothing in his power he can do to change his circumstances. The man proceeds to call in to his employer, and explains that he will be late, and apologizes for the inconvenience. His employer is understanding, as the man is generally very prompt and punctual. Hey, we are all human, right? The man arrives to work, as he normally would, and his day resumes. The events of his morning did not define his day. The day goes as it would, and as it comes to an end, he returns home, where his family welcomes him. Now, at the exact same time, the same scenario happens to a different man, in a different whereabouts. As this man awakens, he, too, realizes his alarm failed to go off. He wakes up with his heart racing in a panic, knowing in his mind that hes going to be late for work. He stumbles around the house to gather his belongings, and tears off out the door. As he gets in his car, he, too, listens to the radio broadcast regarding a bad accident on his only route to work. While continuing to panic, he puts the pedal to the floor to arrive ASAP. He puts in no effort to calling his employer, because he feels it will be of no use. This will be the third time he will have been late for work. As he merges on the freeway, he remains in such a state of panic, that he blindly merges over without caution, and side swipes the vehicle next to him, causing an accident. As he handles the accident, he now realizes hes over an hour late for work. He receives a call from his employer, explaining that they are letting him go due to his lack of punctuality at work. He now blames his faults on bad luck, and repeats living in a cycle of negativity. The point of this story is that you attract what you send out. The majority of life is how you react. By performing a reaction thats associated with negative emotions, you draw in negative events. Failing to think clearly causes rash decisions. Ultimately, you control how you react to any given situation, which dictates the outcome of immediate and future circumstances. Learn perspective, and practice disciplining yourself daily. Your life will thank you.
