The studies on Subalterns would reveal a causal relationship between master and slave or in a wider political and historical context between the colonised and the coloniser. It is not unusual for the colonised to embody a fragmented mind, nevertheless quite intriguingly, Subalterns according to some theorists tend to develop a conflicting mental framework compromising of both envy and hate towards their colonial masters. The colonised dislike subjugation; having their lands and inherent culture destroyed and conditioned by the colonialists, simultaneously seem to aspire in obtaining the same power, position and authority domestically and globally like their masters. Mental shackles can only be removed with the correct keys which would result in a smooth but at times lengthy transition, or the colonised could suffer a painful but necessary injection of liberation at systemic level.
