The surgical procedure took about an hour. I am in my room now. My surgeon saw me before the procedure and said I would not be put to sleep. He said he would give me a local and that it would not hurt much. He lied!!! It was extremely painful. I am glad it is over. I will be here until Thursday, The first 12 hours they will start with a low dose of medication to make sure I am not allergic to it. After that t.hey will steadily increase t.he dose until I can move around without pain. If it works I will scheduled for the pain pump implant surgery in a couple of weeks.
