The third activity of God’s Spirit in us is power. This is the same power that raised Jesus from the dead (Eph. 1:19-20). This power is at work within us (Eph. 3:20) and is the power that mightily dwells in our spirit as the means of effective ministry. When we lay hands on the sick, that power comes out of us, if our soul is developed in faith. That is, if our soul is developed in the grace of God, there will be a release of power. Where is that power resident? It is God’s glory and power that is dwelling in our spirit. These are the three activities of God’s Spirit through the soul of the believer that differentiates the new covenant from the old covenant. It is a spontaneous flow of wisdom. It is a continual flow of godly desires. It is a flow of power that comes from God Himself.
