The time has once again come for all our Algonkian Peoples of Turtle Island to come together and defend our lands from the colonial powers who continue to violate our rights as a sovereign People. We have never sold or given our lands to the British Empire. As a People we have always lived on our homelands but since 1618 when the first English landed in what is now called Virginia and in 1620 at Plymouth Rock in Massachusetts, the English colonist has never ceased to covert our homelands. Now, the Canadian Government a vassal state of the British Crown is trying to sell our homelands to the Peoples Republic of China without our consent. The vast untouched territory of Nitassinan as well as other Anishnabe lands across Canada are rich in precious and rare metals, immense forest, untamed mighty rivers and oil and natural gas..we live on these lands, our dead are buried upon them and our future generations lives depend on its existence as well as the millions of medicinal plants and animals. We want to live in peace and harmony with our fellow human beings . We have always sought Peace with our new visitors from across the great waters but they seem to think that we are not important enough to ask us if they can take our lands . We are just Indians to them. It seems that the settlers see our peacefulness as a weakness and our was of life as antiquated and by Manifest Destiny doomed to expire with only a whimper. As War Chief of the Algonkian Nation, I Thomas Dostou pledge to defend our lands and our way of life against any and all enemies who seek our destruction as a People and wish us harm. We are not terrorist . We invaded no Peoples lands in Europe, Asia or elsewhere. We are not demanding that the settlers leave our homelands neither do we wish to be pushed off our ancestors homelands. The Creator of All Life has appointed us as caretakers of this land. The Spirits of our Ancestors are watching us and they are not happy with what they see happening to our lands. We demand that the British Crown and her vassal state Canada and its lackey fiefdom the Government of Quebec whose Prime Minister is at this very hour with an entourage of 50 political and business leaders in China trying to sell our homelands cease and desist and immediately consult with our Grand Chief Leo Shetush concerning our Peoples legitimate concerns.
