Jitender Kohli On 11/08/2014 published in Early Times daily English Newspaper Desperate state coalition NC-Congress government lead by Omar Abdullah Chief Minister – working President of NC is adopting all political tricks to recoup its political survival in valley and Jammu region by creating a wedge between the two peace loving communities. The withdrawing of permission to Hindu Dangal being organized for years at Baba Prayagnath in Bishnah Jammu, letting the goons free who had burnt, looted Hindu Langers at Baltal including beating pilgrims and damaging their vehicles, with drawing permission to Hindu community to have yatra to Kaousarnag from Kulgam after 1990 militancy, disallowing the pilgrims to visit Mata Mangla Temple Naushehra enroute to Baba Budha Amaranth and sidelining the attacks on Jammu petrol tankers in valley including its drivers. Kaousarnag yatra permission is withdrawn and Baltal aggression by the locals being ignored seems simply to please the valley separatist leaders to attain a few votes in the coming elections. Same is the trick in Jammu region to make a wedge between two communities to gain electoral count in elections. Both the Coalition government partners are desperately trying to wipe of the defeat dust it had in the last Parliament elections. INCongress (I) has decided to alone fight election in this state is a political gimmick as the coalition government still continues to exist. Both parties are hectically busy to divert the society attention from their mis-governance of last more than five years intentionally discriminating Jammu region. The major developing projects in Jammu region are declared by this government including the central projects inspite of issuance of funds are being ignored, delayed or slowed down on one and another excuses including the forest environmental process where as the similar projects in the valley are taken-up and completed mostly within the time frame. Mr. Omar Abdullah is extensively busy in either inaugurating or laying foundation stones to the valley projects. The learned society is smiling on the failure of this coalition government nearly on every step especially internal peace and electricity supply to the consumers especially when these departments happen to be in the control of the Chief Minister Omar Abdullah. He also chairs the United Command for the internal state peace where all the heads of security and home, defense bureaucrats brief the Chief Minister who shares the decision taken by this command to counter the militancy and other similar violent designs of the anti-national elements. Society at the global level laughs on the Chief Minister who convinces the valley people for his effort to repeal the AFSPA. During the time of Mr. Mufti being Central Home Minister this act was extended to Kashmir valley and to twenty kilometers border belt of Rajouri-Poonchh districts of Jammu region and in the period of Farooq Abdullah it was extended to the entire Jammu region also. NC and PDP leadership is exclusively involved in the extension of this law with the consent of Congress who was in coalition with these valley centric political outfits. The Jammu society is perhaps confused to decide what to do at the changing political scenario at the national level where the dynastic rulers are ousted. Here the common people have expelled two dynastic ruling Nehru Gandhi – Abdullah families in the Parliament election and are watching the other dynastic ruling family of Mufti. These three families are exclusively responsible for the 2008 Baba Amaranth pilgrim problem which turned to the historical Jammu region agitation without leadership of any political party. This agitation was rejected and treated anti-national activity by Congress at centre said by Manish Tiwari its spokesman. The Jammu region society is well known to the ill-designs of the valley centric leaders and separatists but is shocked by finding the common people of this region being befooled by some local leaders who have turned puppets of valley leadership. How one can accept that these Jammu region leaders are not aware of what the valley centric leaders and separatists stand for? How one can believe that the Jammu leaders are not in know of the routine anti-national statements made by valley leaders? How Jammu leaders can deny from the deliberate discrimination by the coalition government and how PDP can justify its silence on such issues? With what the NC, PDP and Congress seeking Jammuities vote for their party? What they have to show on the ground? Construction of lane drains is important but can’t justify the delay of restoration of Bahu Fort collapsed wall? Provision of parks is a good effort but this can’t justify the unattended restoration of existing parks, light system or parking. Sanctioning new schools or upgrading of it can never justify the neglected present government schools which starve for staff, repair to buildings, toilets for boy, girl and staff, drinking water facilities and above all the labs it require. The confused and depressed coalition government and starving PDP for the power are revolving around such games. NC and PDP is offering valley electorates Autonomy or Self-rule, Congress is extending soft hand to separatists and those valley leaders who have become habitual of making anti-national statements day after day. The Jammu regional society is finding it very tough to either accept its region leaders or to show them exit door? No doubt the Jammuities will have to decide before the election is conducted and at the same time the leaders of this region shall have to fix what they desire a political exit or to serve the nation as nationalist? Nothing is lost if the Jammu regional leaders unite to show corner to the valley centric politicians and separatists to form a united state to live happily with the Nation. If it fails to happen then the trifurcation of state is there to occur today or tomorrow, Ladakh is touching the cord to get Union Territory status and Jammu region is feeling under current for its statehood. The valley centric leaders are aware of it and they are smarting with those families who successfully had kept the dynastic system alive to crush the democratic functioning. The present central government is meant to serve the nation and not to govern it. There is no dynastic ruling family and its internal democracy is enough to install democracy along the length and breadth of the nation. The society must wait for three years to get ground results from them and must reject the dynastic ruling families for good.
