The true light that gives light to every man was coming into the world. Dearly beloved, The Bible says, “But the path of the just is like the shining sun, That shines ever brighter unto the perfect day” (Proverbs 4:18). In the Bible, the Jewish woman called Esther was made the queen of a nation including the Jewish tribe, since she diligently sought the Lord with her whole heart and mind. Suddenly, she received bad news. Haman, the wicked man, had cunningly convinced King Ahasuerus to send a decree to destroy the Jews. This news spread all over the nation. Esther was also a Jewish woman. So through her uncle Mordecai, it was informed to her that she should make supplication to the king for her people. On hearing that Esther sent word to Mordecai, Go, gather all the Jews who are present in Shushan, and fast for me; neither eat nor drink for three days, night or day. My maids and I will fast likewise. And so I will go to the king, which is against the law; and if I perish, I perish!(Esther 4:16). The Bible says, Again I say to you that if two of you agree on earth concerning anything that they ask, it will be done for them by My Father in heaven. (Matthew 18:19). During a time of trial in my life, I too started to fast and pray. I sat at the feet of the Lord from 9.00 AM to 6.00 PM meditating on His Word and clinging to Him saying, “Lord, You have spoken to me through Your Word; Please help me.” The Lord came down, removed that painful situation in a miraculous way and made my face and life to shine. Ezra the priest says, “Then I proclaimed a fast there at the river of Ahava, that we might humble ourselves before our God, to seek from Him the right way for us and our little ones and all our possessions” (Ezra 8:21). Like Ezra, when you too present all your matters before Him with fasting telling, “Lord, I’m nothing; I’ve no wisdom; You alone should help me in all these matters..,” He will hear your prayer and show you the way you should go. He will guide you with His eye. (Psalm 32:8). The Bible assures, The hand of our God is upon all those for good who seek Him…” (Ezra 8:22). The Lord promises, “Instead of your shame you shall have double honor, and instead of confusion they shall rejoice in their portion…” (Isaiah. 61:7). The Esther Prayer Group, a part of the Jesus Calls Ministries, is being conducted by us in many parts of the world. The members of this group do not pray for themselves but for others with the intention: “The women folks are getting destroyed; so many women are in agony as their marriage is not settled or as they don’t have a child; many run towards suicide unable to overcome the trials in life. Let me pray for such women with burden.” The Lord answers their prayers and does mighty things. Those in darkness see the light. You should also pray for others. He will then grant you the same light, joy and blessing to make you, His child, live an abundant life. The Bible says, “The true light that gives light to every man was coming into the world” (John 1:9). Lord Jesus came as a light into this world so that no one who believes in Him should stay in darkness but have the light of life. Lord Jesus is the Light of the world. When you seek Him diligently, He will remove the darkness from your life and surround you with His light. Prayer: Loving Lord Jesus, You are the Light. I seek You with my whole heart and mind. Hear my fervent prayer and remove my trouble. Show me the way I should go. Guide me through the right path. Bless me with double honour. Let my life shine for your glory. Your matchless name I pray. Amen. ----
