The true porpoise of how God used the meaning of water to save us. Please follow with me in theses scriptures and read for your self. Water baptism is not the saving water that save you and will not save anyone, if any person has trusted in their water baptism as the means to be saved they went down into the water a dry sinner and came up as a wet sinner. A person has to trust Jesus Christ and him alone as the saving water that saves them. The subject is: ( How was Noah and his family saved by water In 1st Peter 3:20 and how are we saved by the same water that saved them In John 3:5.? One may wonder if they can know for sure if they are really saved before they die, yes they can know because of what God says, In 1stJohn 5:13. It Says, These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the son of God; that you may know that you have eternal life. Acts 15:9 Says we are purified by faith. Purified, means Purification, Purification means to be sanctified, washed, and cleansed to be made pure and Holy. So we know that we are made purified when we trust and accept Jesus Christ as savior by faith alone. John 14:6 Jesus said unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man come unto the Father, but by me. We are told here in this scripture, a person can only get through the door in to heaven by trusting Jesus Christ alone by faith alone to save them. Mark 1:8 John says, I indeed have baptize you with water, the same is he which baptize you with the Holy Spirit. That is Christ. John1:33 Says, He that sent me to baptize with water the same is he which baptize you with the Holy Ghost. That is Christ Matthew 3:11 Says, I indeed baptize you with water unto repentance; but he that come after me is mightier than I, He shall baptize you with the Holy Spirit. That is Christ. Notice here In Matthew 3:11 John baptize with water unto repentance, and the one that would comes after him which is Jesus Christ, shall baptize you with the Holy Spirit. 1st Peter 3:20 Says, when once the longsuffering of God waited in the days of Noah while the ark was a preparing, where in few that is eight souls were saved by water. So we know here that Noah and his family were saved by water correct? John 3:5 Jesus answered, verily, verily I say unto the except a man be born of water, and of the spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God. We read here in John 3:5 we also have to be born of water and of Spirit correct? Notice In 1st Peter 3:20 Noah and his family was saved by water only, and In John 3:5 we have to be born again of water and Spirit to be saved correct. So we know this is talking about another birth correct? When Noah and his family was saved by water, God had not gave the Holy Spirit to any one yet, because God did not send the Holy Spirit to man until the day of penny coast thirty day after the resurrection. So from the day of penny coast up till now God will save any person who believe which is to trust him Jesus Christ alone as there savior by faith alone, and by their faith alone they would be born of water and of Spirit, a second birth. First Let’s look at some scriptures in the old testament: Jeremiah 2:13 Says, for my people have committed two evils; they have forsaken me, the fountain of living water. Now notice here the scripture says, God is the Living water, and people reject him the Living water. Jeremiah 17:13 Says, they have forsaken the Lord, the fountain of living of living water. Notice here again the scripture says, they have forsaken the Lord, the fountain of the Living water. We all know a fountain is something that something flows out of right? Lets Look at Psalm 22:14 Says, for I am poured out like water. Now notice this scripture here, it says that Christ is poured out like water. Isaiah 55:1 Says, every one that thirst come to the water. You see what the scripture is saying, when a person trust and accept Christ by faith alone to save them, you have come to the water Spiritually, Christ is the living water In Jeremiah 17:13, and by faith you have drink of the Living Spiritually In John 4:14 when you trust Christ to save you by faith alone. Now Let’s look in the new testament: Notice here the Apostle John repeats Isaiah 55:1, John 7:37 Says, If any man thirst, let him come unto me and drink; same thing we see In Isaiah 55:1 It says, Every one that thirst Come to the water. When a person comes to Christ by trusting and accepting Christ by faith alone to save them, what do they receive? The Living water, you have drink of the Living water spiritually because Christ is the Living In Jeremiah 17:13, and John 4:14. This is what it means to be saved by water, you get this water Spiritually by accepting and trusting Christ by faith alone to save you. John 4:10 Jesus answered and said, if thou know the gift of God, and who it is that said to the, Give me to drink; thou would have asked of him, and he would have given the living water. Christ gives to you the Living water which is eternal Life In John 4:14, as a free gift In, Ephesians 2:8,9. John 4:14 Says, but whosoever drink of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst; but the water that I shall give him shall be in him a well of water springing up into everlasting life. Now notice here, the water that Christ gives to you is eternal life. John 4:15 The women said unto him, Sir give me this water, that I thirst not. John 4:14, Christ makes a statement that by faith alone that one little drink of the water that he gives to you will last for eternity, and you will never have to drink again, which means by faith alone in Christ alone, he will save you and gives to you eternal life In Ephesians 2:8,9 as a free gift and you will never have to drink again, which means you will never have to be saved again. Just like your physical birth, you can only be born through the flesh once, that is the same way through the birth of the Spirit you can only be born Spiritually of the Spirit one time. The Spiritual birth is eternal life In, John 4:14. Now notice here how the Apostle John repeats Psalm 22:14, It Says, For I am poured out like water, John 7:38 Says, He that believe on me, as the scripture said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water. Now notice here Christ says those that believe on him by faith alone, out of his belly flows rivers of living water. What is the living water that flow out of Christ to a person by faith? The Holy Spirit In, John 7:39. John 7:39 Says, (But this spoke he of the Spirit which they that believe on him should receive). What does people receive by faith alone the very second they trust and accept Christ as savor by faith alone to save them? The Holy Spirit, because Christ is the living water In, Jeremiah 17:13, and the Holy Spirit In John 7:39, Matthew 20:22 Jesus answered and said, you know not what you ask. Are you able to drink of the cup that I shall drink of, and to be baptized with the baptism that I am baptized with? Matthew 20:23 And he said unto them, you shall drink indeed of my cup, and be baptize with the baptism that I am baptized with. See this baptism Jesus is speaking of is the baptism of the Spirit. By faith alone the Holy Spirit baptize you, and places you in the body of Christ. This is something that you receive by faith alone, and not by something that you do by your works. Revelations 22:17 Says, And the Spirit and the bride say Come, And let him that hear Come, And let him that thirst come, And whosoever will let him take the water of life freely. Now notice here, Christ is talking about giving to you the water of life freely which is eternal life, and be baptize by the same baptism that he is baptize with In, Matthew 20:23, which is the Holy Spirit In John 7:39. Notice here In John 7:39, that the Holy Spirit is given only to those who has believed and has trusted Christ as savior by faith alone to save them. Now notice here, Christ is talking about giving to you the water of life freely which is eternal life In John 4:14, and as a free gift to you In Ephesians 2:8,9 and be baptize by the same baptism that he is baptize with In, Matthew 20:23, which is the Holy Spirit, In John 7:39. This is what Christ explain to Nicodemus In John 3:3 Jesus said You must be born again, Jesus was telling Nicodemus you have to trust him the Living water to save you. Your first birth is through the flesh, you had a physical birth from the flesh, and now you need a second birth, a Spiritual birth by the washing of water by the word which is Christ the Holy Spirit himself In Jeremiah 2:13, Jeremiah 17:13, John 4:14. The Apostle John makes it plain In Revelations 1:5 That Christ washed us from our sin in his own blood. When a person trust and accepts Christ alone by faith alone to save them, God plaints the seed of Christ the Holy Spirit into your mind, which is your thinking, which is called a Spiritual birth of the Spirit, which is a faith birth. This is why he says In,1st Corinthians 6:11 but you are washed, but you are sanctified, but you are justified, in the name of the Lord Jesus, How? by the Spirit of our God, Christ the Holy Spirit washes your sin away In Revelations 1:5 by his own blood through faith alone. When a person here’s the word and they believe on the word which is Christ by trusting in Christ by faith alone to save them, you receive the baptism by the Holy Spirit. This baptism is a faith baptism and places a believer in the body of Christ and it is all by faith. When a person trust Christ alone by faith alone to save them they have drink of the living water Spiritually, John 4:10 and John 4:14 which is Christ. This is why it says, that Noah and his family was saved by water In,1st Peter 3:20, the water was Jesus Christ, the ark was a for shadow of the cross to Noah and his family, as the cross is to us today as we look back on the cross. When the door of the ark was shut, it was a picture of how God sealed them and place them in the body of Christ. Ephesians 1:13 In whom you also trusted after that you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation in whom also after that you believed, you were sealed with that holy spirit of promise. Who seals us? Jesus Christ himself, because Jesus Christ is the word In John 1:1, and the father, the son, and the Holy Spirit In 1st John 5:7. The Living water is Jesus Christ In Jeremiah 17:13 , the pouring out of the water is the Holy Spirit In John 7:39 Romans 8:9 Says, Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his. See God tells us here if any person has not the Spirit of him which is the living water, they are not his child, and are not saved. The unsaved people do not receive or have the Holy Spirit (John 14:17; Romans 8:9). We are told the Holy Spirit is given only to those who have believed and has trusted in and has accepted Jesus Christ alone as savor by faith alone to save them. (John 7:39). We are told that the Holy Spirit seals the believing sinner as God child the moment they puts there faith and trust in Jesus Christ as Savior by faith alone, before they are ever baptized in physical water, In (Ephesians 1:12,13). Ephesians 1:13 In whom you also trusted after that you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation in whom also after that you believed, you were sealed with that holy spirit of promise. Who seals us? Jesus Christ himself, because Jesus Christ is the father, the son, and the Holy Spirit, all three are one In 1st JOHN 5:7. The Living water is Jesus Christ In JEREMIAH 17:13 , the pouring out of the water is the Holy Spirit In John 7:39 . The drinking of the water In JOHN 4:14, is eternal life. Now go back to John 4:14 and read this again it says, but whosoever drink of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst; but the water that I shall give him shall be in him a well of water springing up into everlasting life. This is the water that saves a person when you trust and accept the Lord Jesus Christ by faith alone as your savior to save you, you have drink of the Living water Spiritually, The Spiritual birth is a water birth by the Spirit, by Jesus Christ alone through faith alone because Jesus Christ is the Living water and the Holy Spirit. In, 1st Peter 3:20. Noah and his family was not saved by water physically, they were saved by water Spiritually by trusting in the Lord Jesus Christ by faith alone to save them, because Jesus Christ is the Living water In, Jeremiah 17:13. There are two ordnances in the church that as a saved child of God, God command’s us to do, neither one saves you but to be in obedience to your heavenly father we should obey him and do this. One is water baptism and the other one is to take the Lord’s supper. The Lord’s supper is in remembrances of Christ body shed blood as to how he sacrificed his body and wash us from our sin in his own shed Blood In Revelations 1:5,7 to pay our sin debt, and the other one is water baptism, water baptism represents your death, your burial, and your resurrection, when you stand in the water it is a picture on you on the cross with Jesus Christ in his death, as you go down under the water it is a picture of your burial with Jesus Christ in his death, and when you come up out of the water it is a picture of you risen with Jesus Christ from death unto life. It is a picture of your death, your burial, and your resurrection. Whether a person does this or not this is not what saves you, because we are saved by God’s wonderful Love Mercy and Grace through Faith alone In Ephesians 2:8,9 and not by our works of righteousness by what we have done In Titus 3:5. Friend would you like to be saved now and know where you will spend eternity before you die? You have read what the word of God says, this very moment you can know where you will spent eternity either in Heaven or Hell before you die. God says you can know for sure at this very moment. In 1st John 5:13 God gives us his assurance, that you can know now for sure where you will spend eternity before you die. Trust and accept the Lord Jesus Christ and him alone to save you and wash you of all of your sins In Revelations 1:5,7, John 3:16 says, “For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son that whosoever, that means any person, believeth in him, which is to trust him Jesus Christ, should not perish, which means shall not go to Hell in the future, but have what kind of Life? Everlasting life, We read here in this scripture God only gives one kind of life to man kind and it is eternal. Romans 10:9 Says, That if thou shall confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and believe in thy heart that God raised him from the dead, thy shall be saved. Romans 10:13 Says, “For who so ever shall call up on the name of the Lord shall be saved.“ all others who reject the Lord Jesus Christ and him alone by faith alone to save them will perish. Friend trust in the Lord Jesus Christ and him alone to wash you of all of your sins, In Revelations 1:5,7,and save you now before it is to late.
