The verdict is in... Mirabell has migraines Thankfully doctor was much more thorough and explained everything. The arachnoid cysts on her brain are just there and always will be, she does have a bit extra fluid on her brain but not enough to cause any harm and if they were to drain the fluid it would do more harm than good and cause bleeding in the brain. He did a few physical exams on her that if the cysts were causing problems her body would react different but she reacted normal. Now he prescribed her 3 different vitamins to take every day that will help prevent the migraines, not just treat them. He explained Tylenol is not beneficial because it causes rebound headaches where it treats it at the moment but actually causes them to come back. If these vitamins dont help then she will be prescribed a medicine used to treat seizures that she will have to take every day. We also told him how sensitive she is to light and he said she should wear sunglasses a lot and some kids have to wear them all day even inside. He also said because of her blue eyes shes more sensitive to light... how weird. Also when she starts school she may need paper to be tinted darker because the light reflecting off the white paper can irritate and trigger migraines. So thats what we know.
