The very rainy pattern over the weekend continued for Monday. - TopicsExpress

The very rainy pattern over the weekend continued for Monday. Numerous showers and t-storms fired up this morning and afternoon, with heavy rain and lightning. None of the storms were severe in nature, but we had plenty of much needed rain. Most places saw anywhere from half an inch, with some spots seeing up to 2 inches in the last three days. This is exactly the kind of rain we needed to help thirsty lawn and help out the farmers. Tonight, showers will continue until we get to the overnight hours..theyll start to die down by then. Tomorrow morning will be cloudy and mild with temps starting in the low 70s. Tuesday will be much drier and warmer, as the stalled out front that triggered the rain moves north. Expect just slight rain chances Tuesday with highs on either side of 90. The drier pattern continues for the middle of the work week (Wednesday and Thursday) with temperatures creeping up each day. Highs will be in the low 90s, with about 20% rain chances each day. So we wont be totally dry, but much drier than we have been the last few days. The dry pattern doesnt last too long as the pattern turns wetter as a cold front approaches the Southeast. It looks like the cooler and drier air will stay just north of us, so well stay in the warm and humid sector with decent rain chances. Make it a great week everyone!!
