The visit today of a group of Palestinians to the Fraenkel home - TopicsExpress

The visit today of a group of Palestinians to the Fraenkel home does not change everything, indeed it is but a small gesture. However with the current state of play even this is a ray of light that should be embraced. Given also the developments in the investigation of the murder of Muhammad Abu Khdeir it is time for EVERYONE to say clearly and in a loud voice, enough of this violence and hatred. In the din of egla arufa the leaders and elders of the city are required to say that their hands did not spill the blood. This is not because they are assumed to be directly implicated in the act of violence, but that through leadership we have the ability to influence the fringes of our society who have somehow concluded that this type of horrific violence is OK. It is not OK, it strikes at the very heart of our moral fibre. There can be no excuse and we all have a responsibility to make sure that we do the maximum to avoid events of this nature.
