The way I see it is that each persons Facebook is a party he or she is throwing. You can come into the party and bring your own opinions, of course. Thats good, makes for interesting conversation. But if youre going to yell and be rude and attack the other guests, youre probably going to get thrown out. Permanently. Ditto for treating the host poorly in his or her house. (I posted this under Amber Sparks status, but after seeing a bunch of other people post about feeling under attack by aggressive Facebook friends lately, I thought maybe Id post it directly too. Its been a helpful way for me to think about FB, at least. Lets not let assholes stay at our parties, okay? If were all going to look at this screen every day, it probably shouldnt make us feel anxious or besieged by the people we share it with.)
