The whole politics of Nigeria is nothing but about who controls - TopicsExpress

The whole politics of Nigeria is nothing but about who controls the huge oil wealth in Niger Delta and economic resources in the Yoruba South Western part of Nigeria. Remove these two stimulus, no one, especially those outside these two regions will be interested in Nigerian presidency. If we look back into how Nigeria came into existence, one will be amazed to see how the generally perceived primitive, low literate Hausa/Fulani people has cleverly outmanoeuvred the real owners of Nigerian wealth and take control of the country. One must credit these people with one outstanding human quality: they have long vision and exceptionally consistent on their objectives. Starting from independence era, they understood the importance of figures in politics, therefore, they arm twisted the British colonial masters to falsify Nigerian census figure in their favour. The Nigerian census figure up till today defied any rational logic, yet, the whole political administration of Nigeria is built on this fraud that serves only the interest of Hausa /Fulani, but grossly abuse legitimate interest of the people who bankroll Nigerias economy. To sustain their power grip over Nigeria, Hausa/Fulani people have infiltrated their agents into the ethnic groups that could challenge their autocracy. Among the Yorubas, they used Obasanjo very well for many years and up to certain point, the agent almost start acting like a freelancer. This is how Jonathan came in and a new chapter is about to open in Nigerias dirty political intrigue. Goodluck Jonathan is an Ijaw man from Niger Delta, the home to Nigerias oil wealth. How this came to happen is still a shock to Fulani strategists because this is exactly what they fear most and have been doing all possible over the years to prevent. Something seriously went wrong somewhere. Their trusted agent, Obasanjo has miscalculated. Jonathan was selected because they saw in him a weak, temporary personality that could be used and dumped at will. Let me say here clearly, I have no atom of sympathy for Jonathan or his party but the Nigerian political battle today is not merely a choice between PDP or APC, it is choice between freedom (Jonathan) and slavery (Buhari) for people who produce the wealth of Nigeria (Yoruba). -Richard Akinwande Olurombi
