The words “Beware the Ides of March” are immortalised in - TopicsExpress

The words “Beware the Ides of March” are immortalised in Shakespeare’s Julius Caesar and somewhat relevant to the thespian nature of South African soccer ahead of this Saturday’ Soweto derby. “Ides” refers to the middle of the month, and ominous warning was delivered to Caesar by a soothsayer. Caesar ignored it and was assassinated by a group of conspirators, who included his close allies. Football-wise, this warning goes to Orlando Pie-rats who, like a lamb to the slaughter, stand to be crucified by the Mighty Amakhosi this weekend. Pie-rats, be warned: Ides of March (15th Match) is only a few days ahead and the guillotine has been sharpened!
