The world is not looking for good people, they are looking for those that will pet their ego and play to their selfishness was the answer I gave to someone that asked me why is it that no matter how hard he tries to be... good and blameless, yet he still gets haters. If the world needed good people, they would have accepted our good Lord Jesus Christ. That the world rejected the saviour is what show that the world is not after good people, they are only interested on those that will play to their needs even when doing that means doing the wrong thing. We don’t get angry when people sin, but we get angry when they sin against us. If you keep trying to please people, you’ll lose yourself and also that which God wants you to be. We are to live for Jesus and not for our spouse, love ones etc. if living for Jesus entails doing things those we love wouldn’t like then, let it be. If you please God at the expense of your loved ones, you may at first lose fellowship with them but with time you’ll surely gain it back, this time they will come back to do the will of God with you and by that you’ll win them to lose them no more. …all things were created through him and for him. Colossians 1:16b We are created by God and for God; we don’t need to be who our loved ones want us to be if being that makes us live contrary to the will of God. Let’s love people but let’s not sin because of our love for them. Always remember that that person that wants a godly partner doesn’t really want a godly partner, what he really wants is that person that will play to his needs. There is no problem playing to people’s need as long as those needs aren’t ungodly and selfish. God bless you.
