The writer calls them Country Club Republicans. I prefer to call them Wall Street Republicans. In either case they are the people owned and controlled by the Wall Street pretenders, who lie when they profess to support free enterprise. They prefer to call it capitalism, but whatever they call it, they have a deceitfully different meaning than what it originally stood for. Country Club (Wall Street) Republicans give two thirds of their campaign contributions to Democrats. They oppose the normal competition of free enterprise so their definition of "capitalism" is focused on "acquistions" and "mergers" designed to eliminate competition. Their goal is monopolies that generate huge profits with no risk. Of course they hate the small business entrepreneurs who create most of the jobs and provide the competition that drives American success under free enterprise. These Country Club Republicans also lie when the profess to support the Republican Party. As noted, they give most of their money to Democrats. They still expect the Republicans to subserviently pander to them for giving us their table scraps. Moderate Republicans are happy to be subservient. This is an excellent article that describes why we need to take over the Republican Party and drive the Country Club Republicans over to the party of socialism. It is where they belong. It is time they stopped controlling both parties. They cannot be trusted because they LIE!
