Theme in Liberty On this dark nations anniversary Tell again the patriots story, How brave men overcame adversity, Gave our land immortal glory. It matters not from whence he came From lands across the sea. His a wilderness to tame, His a place to be free. It matters not time or place Nor battles fought, In war and in peace America was wrought. It matters not his name, Color, race or creed, His fame or unacclaim, Only his noble deed. Hail, My country tis of thee, And honors kept free, The sweetest uses of adversity, Was the spirit of Liberty! This poem was written by my dad Harold A. Coleman, Sr., a true patriot, a WWII Veteran, and a man that lived his entire life in Buckingham as a staunch supporter of recognizing the county and the countys history and especially his hero Peter Francisco. He honored our country on every Pearl Harbor Day.
