Then And Now, Rimersburg Part 4: A View of Main Street All this week well be taking a photographic stroll through the Rimersburg community, looking at how things appear today compared to the same buildings and places as they were seen long ago. The vintage photo in todays post shows the view of Main Street from Ganoes Porch, which was taken in the vicinity of the current Veterans Memorial Park. The City Hotel can be see in the photo. It appears the crowd is watching a race of some kind as the runners make their way north on Main Street. The vintage photos are courtesy of the Eccles-Lesher Memorial Library, and the glass photo negatives of former Rimersburg photographer Samuel Fischer (1875-1959).
