There are approximately 800,000 full time police officers in America, policing over 300 Million people. There are usually a little over 100 cops killed each year, and they kill about 500 people each year (give or take, depending on the year) in the line of duty. If one percent of the cops were killing one person, that would be 8,000 per year. But no, instead, the glaring reality is that only one half of one percent of police kill ANYone, whether they deserve it, accidentally, or with malice. 99.94% of cops kill absolutely no one. Even if using the inflated statistics by anti-police web sites, the highest figures one can come up with (when deceptively exaggerating) around 1,000 civilian deaths in a year caused by police, so the point holds even against the most vitriolic of police hating protesters. To expect all police to do be able to do their job without killing anyone is absurd. Airplane pilots, bus drivers, taxi cab drivers and doctors (to name a few) are likely to kill more more people than police. A great lie has been perpetrated on millions of Americans who have allowed themselves to be manipulated, used and abused, and it is not by police. wdbj7/news/local/breaking-two-police-officers-shot-in-lewisburg-west-virginia-two-suspects-in-custody/30492254
