There are better ways of evaluating the way a company is managed, for better or worse, than looking at its financial statement. You cannot always judge a book by its cover. Most small- to medium-sized companies—and even some large firms—have a particular management style that really determines their longer-term success or failure. And of course, you want to work in or operate a company that is going to thrive and prosper for a long time.
