There are few things that make a father happier than when his son is successful in school. Today I got the wonderful news that my son, Pierre Gerard, has just completed his Summer Research Internship at National Taiwan University in Taipei, Taiwan and he received the grade of A+. Pierre has been studying Phytoextraction, which is a process that involves using plants to decontaminate soil that has been polluted with heavy metals. Pierre has been working in the laboratory of Dr. Zueng-Sang Chen, one of the top soil scientists in Asia. Pierre will come back to the USA on Wednesday.
