There are people who decry Facebook, as just a place where participants simply rant, post what the weather is or what their last meal was. To be frank several years ago I probably felt that same, it was St who persuaded me to join. Even then it was more as a business tool. However after a while I split my pages into business and personal, I have two Facebook pages. Though now I find the line has blurred. I read status, chat to people and feel for people I have never met apart from on these pages. Yet I do “feel” for them. The reason I write this now, today is I have “seen” a son grieving for the coming death of his father. I have “seen” a couple willing, praying that their new born will continue in the fight to live, backed and supported by posts on here. Seen if only in passing thought of by who knows how many people. So I thought I would just post this, along with a song that it seems is special to many people, simply to remind everyone, what we have here is a society of people, a global and electronic society but a society never the less. So to those people that at time mock Facebook, today I have learnt a lesson, it can and does support people in their times of need. No matter that it is a global business, at another level it is simply what is good in the human spirit, it lets us show we care. youtube/watch?v=ZGwDYBWEDSc
