There are several misspellings and other grammatical colloquialisms (hoo-haws and doolie-lollies) that I select on purpose, for reasons that ...mostly escape me. But it occurs to me that those less-familiar with me may think Im just a dumbass. ...though surely there be those, familiar with me, who have drawn that same conclusion. Hmmmph. But anyways ...it could be that no one could possibly care less ...mmm hmm. But just in case that one person cares, a partial list would include: A spurious e on the end of excellent. Yeah, I always use the Spanish excellente for ughknown reasons. Oh, that brings up the use of the term ughknown, totally stolen from the great Chuck Yeager. Southern or pseudo-Southern affectations like thems instead of these, seen instead of saw, they instead of their, gone instead of going to, etc. The chronic over-use of plurals. Clifford needs hims somes extras ss ats the ends of everythings alls the times. Please forgive me. Andy Griffith-like colloquialisms such as mmmm hmmm and surely, etc. Hey Im from the great SouthWest! Occasionally using the spelling greatful though Im perfectly aware its spelled grateful. The other spelling makes more sense. Mmm hmm. Is instead of are (as in we is amazing). Too much awesome, too much amazing. A preference for British spellings like colour and theatre. Over-using the ellipses ... for which I blames Kurt Vonnegut. The unapologetic use of Sir and Maam which Ill not be changing in the slightest. When you are raised with manners it sticks with you ...and when someone takes either of those words as an insult, theyre saying your Mama was raising you wrong -- an unwise insinuation. So.
