There are so many amazing reasons why I love what I do for a living! I heard a great quote this week at my conference. We as photographers sell time travel. As a photographer I give people the ability to look back and relive the most important days of their lives! The moments captured are only moments stuck in your mind but with photos no matter how much those memories fade you can always be taken right back to that place! When I first heard this quote I thought it was a little corny but then today I received some heartbreaking news! A brides whose wedding I shot years ago had died suddenly! Ive had other clients who have lost their parents and grandparents after their wedding and I cant help but think how important those images must be to them! My heart is very heavy for all of them but I feel blessed knowing they have the photos to comfort them. I know some of my most valuable possessions are the photos I have of my dad! So I guess my point to this is to thank everyone who has ever given me the responsibility to capture your life! Every Saturday I wake up I know I have a great responsibility to bring my very best and Im grateful that you have trusted me to do so! Please remember Courtney and her family in your prayers tonight and never take a single day for granted!
