There are some jobs that you just cant seem to get finished properly. And so it was for my preserving efforts. I completed cooking and bottling all those tomatoes weeks ago....but never finished putting the labels on all of them or putting them away in storage. At last count I managed to get nearly 100 jars of various shapes, sizes and contents out of my preserving for this season. Today was F (finish) day for me. I just had to bite the bullet and complete this task. John has been hassling me for ages now to clear our kitchen benches and floor of these mushrooms in the guise of pickles, chutneys and sauces. It really isnt all my fault though.....I have been nagging John to clear a space in our little cool room ever since I made them so I COULD put them away. I have given away quite a few jars and we are just finishing off two of them ourselves. I must admit I do feel so much better now. John just came back from Seymour and I heard him give a loud yell Oh...I take it all back which translates out to the discussion he must have had with our friend Ray in the car on their way home along the lines of I bet she hasnt done anything with those jars. Proved him wrong and he hates that. Lol! (Y)
