There are some people you just never imagine dying. Thats how I feel about Robin Williams. He was the preeminent comedian of my generation On the one hand, its hard to believe that someone with such fearless and unbridled comedic energy, amazing talent and creativity, along with an unparalleled on-screen humanity would take his own life. But thats the cruel irony for so many comedians, the reason for that creativity and need to perform is rooted in some pretty dark stuff. I have a comedian friend who jokingly asks his fellow comedians, so what are you in for? Its rhetorical, but an important question for many to ask themselves. RIP Robin. The world is profoundly less funny and worse, less human without you.
