Search Planner training course 5-6th October 2013 This course provides a solid foundation for planning the immediate and initial phases of a missing person incident. It is suitable for use as an ALSAR Search Coordinator. The course is based on the 6 Step Process which is a popular framework for managing search operations and involves classroom time spent learning and undertaking a variety of tabletop exercises to simulate missing person emergencies, all based mainly upon real life incidents from the teams 32 years of operations. Candidates from ALSAR teams should ideally have good experience of operational searches.
