There are strong feelings on both sides of the fence regarding Sunday evening services and their decline in popularity and attendance. Theres no spiritual mandate to meet on Sunday evening or on Sunday morning for that matter...we meet most frequently at that time because its when the church found in the book Acts began to gather. We get so emotionally attached to tradition though. We ought to gather as the church corporately and in small groups regularly for worship, ministry, fellowship, prayer, encouragement and mission, but the day and time may continue to be culturally mandated based on preference or opportunity. I welcome your comments, knowing this can be a hot button for those with strong feelings or fond memories.
