There are two truths of which I am the personification at this very moment. 1) Time fly when you are having fun. 2) The Godly judgement of the Bishop. It was the Godly judgement of Bishop Henry Allen Belin, Jr. that 10 years ago on Nov. 22, 2003 I was appointed to serve the wonderful people of Cypress Chapel AME Church, Abbeville, SC. Time does fly when you are having fun indeed and doing ministry and serving the Lord and loving one another. For 10 years, Cypress and I have certainly done all of this! This is your personal invitation to join me tomorrow and Sunday for a weekend celebration to mark my 10 years. Because I am a musician, how could we not mark this milestone without music? Tomorrow at 6:00 PM, the Musical Celebration will take place. Music and dance ministries from as far away as Columbia, SC will sing unto the Lord or dance before the Lord. Come early for a choice seat! Sunday morning, join us for Church School at 10 AM then the Worship Celebration at 11 AM. My blood family from Shulerville, Columbia, and Barnwell will be my special guests and my mentor, the Rev. Dr. Allen W. Parrott, Presiding Elder of the Kingstree District, AME Church, is preaching. Again, come early for a choice seat! I am grateful to God for thinking enough of me to allow me this golden 10 year opportunity to serve this extraordinary church. I am further excited about the weekends celebration to take place. It would make me very happy to see a full sanctuary both days for this event. JOIN US!
