There are villages and small communities worldwide. In Israel we have the Kibbutz and the Moshav. A moshav, just like the one we are located in, is a form of settlement unique to Israel. It consists of a cooperative agricultural community of individual farms. Farms in a moshav are individually owned,originally of fixed and equal size. Crops are produced on the family properties through individual resources and the profitsvary between the different family farming units. Each unit functions as a profit center, managing its finances and crops, leading an individual life and sharing certain municipal and cultural aspects of living on a small community.
