There has been chronic public outcry over the perceived poor performance of Members of Parliament. This was much pronounced at the publication of the 1st and 2nd Parliamentary Scorecard by the African Leadership Institute among other voices of dissent alarmed by the subject. This comes a midst a huge expenditure burden spent on the legislators, but squeezing the tax payer. Does the growing discomfort on the performance of parliament hold water? is the duty of Mps over emphasized? or are we just ignorant on all those fronts? Facilitating and maintaining a single MP,a fortune is spent.
