There has not been much in the news about the current round of bargaining between the government and the teachers. We have just learned that ETFO is holding a strike vote. Union members will vote on whether they are willing to initiate a collective work action (ie, stopping, slowing down or curtailing work). Before members can legally go on strike, they must hold a strike vote. This does not mean they will initiate strike action and we certainly hope this is the case but it is important that parents are aware of the current climate.
