There have been a few such significant moments in mine; and some laugh when I say the day I fell in love with the game.....but it was true, and strange, and wild, and beautiful.....and Im still in love! Spring 2001..............I fell in love in one double shot, first with the game, watching Utes and Aztecs in SDSU at a game I was forced to attend......then weeks later, as I was packing to move to San Antonio where Id just put a deposit on a Castle Hills apartment, and I scrolled for college ball, and there were these two beautiful men, referred to as THE TWIN TOWERS, playing the Lakers, and I said, who are the Spurs? Id heard of Lakers, Celtics and even the Rockets, even non bball lovers know those names, but THE SPURS, and wouldnt you know, THE SAN ANTONIO SPURS, I started dancing in my room as I realized these two beauties, Duncan and The Admiral, were where I was going! FORTUITOUS I TELL YOU......Me and bball, the longest love affair Ive ever had ...........[other than poetry, and God, and parents]
