There have been many times in my 68 years that I have been ashamed to be an American. I confess that this is one of them. And I make no apologies. And I know that i dont stand alone. Despite extensive reports by international organizations that condemned Israel for its attacks on civilians and civilian targets in Gaza, and despite the fact that many international organizations and forums now speak openly about Israeli war crimes, my government has passed resolutions by unanimous consent that support those attacks. They have actually declared that Israels disproportionate use of force on civilian targets was an act of self defense. Let me think a moment - OK Im done. WTF The unholy alliance between the U.S. and Israel has reared its ugly head again. I have a hard time swallowing the fact that my government has emasculated the UN by its consistent veto of any resolutions condemning Israel, but putting its imprimatur on murder and war crimes is another thing altogether. My country is going to hell for hundreds of reasons - and those reasons are now sitting in the U.S. Congress.
