There is a big gap between the small elite group of the worlds richest people and the masses of the poorest part of the population, and as this article discusses, the chasm grows deeper. 1 billion people live on $1.25 per day. However, in defense of one of the worlds wealthiest person mentioned, Warren Buffett, will give most of his wealth away at his death. And he favors taxation of the wealthiest and especially an estate tax when the worlds wealthiest people pass assets from one generation to the next.
