There is a forced evacuation happening in some areas of Cebu City today. However Police Regional Office - 7 Director encouraged early evacuation especially in the coastal and landslide-prone areas.One worry is that Yolanda’s rains and gusts could further weaken or destroy homes and public buildings already damaged by the quake, or trigger floods and landslides in vulnerable communities. Local officials waste no time in suspending classes and ordering the early evacuation of neighborhoods at risk, like those living on the banks of rivers or on the shores. The entire Philippine National Police regional headquarters will be in full alert for any eventuality.
