There is a heavy spirit of judgment running rampant in some of our Churches. When I say judgment, I am referring to what I believe the bible identifies as judgment which is the withholding of love, affection, attention and or friendship to those who have been deemed something; whether that be different, lukewarm, worldly, unsubmissive, aggressive, assertive, too saved ( whatever that means) striving, I could go on and on but you get my point (please note: to hold someone accountable to biblical standards is not judgment but it is how you treat that person base on what you know or perceive to know about that person that becomes judgment) God speaks clearly on this matter in his Word: “Judge not, that you be not judged. For with the judgment you pronounce you will be judged, and with the measure you use it will be measured to you. Why do you see the speck that is in your brothers eye, but do not notice the log that is in your own eye?” Matt. 7:1 Not one of us is a perfect person and this does not give people permission to withhold their love, affection, attention or friendship from you. That said, I sincerely ask for the forgiveness of all those who have at any time felt judged by me.
