There is a misconception among Christians today about God in reference to Christians and Islam. Some believe that the God that Christians serve is the same as the God Islam serves. They use Abraham, Yeshua and the original root forms of words to try to make this point. Now, lets see what scripture says about this. We can see that Islam serves a very different god from the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. Romans 9: 6-9 [6] Not as though the word of God hath taken none effect. For they are not all Israel, which are of Israel: [7] Neither, because they are the seed of Abraham, are they all children: but, In Isaac shall thy seed be called. [8] That is, They which are the children of the flesh, these are not the children of God: but the children of the promise are counted for the seed. [9] For this is the word of promise, At this time will I come, and Sara shall have a son. Islam uses Mohammad, Ishmael and Abraham to come to god. This is not the lineage of Christ however. Christ is the lineage of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. Islam cannot use Ishmael being the firstborn either as a path unto God Almighty. 1 Chronicles 5:1 [1] Now the sons of Reuben the firstborn of Israel, (for he was the firstborn; but, forasmuch as he defiled his fathers bed, his birthright was given unto the sons of Joseph the son of Israel: and the genealogy is not to be reckoned after the birthright. Now that we have established that the path to God is wrong for Islam and that Ishmael being born first means nothing how do we become the sons of God? John 1: 12 [12] But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name: Acts 1:8 [8] But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth. Acts 2: 38 [38] Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. What is this power that makes us sons of God? Does Islam have this? Romans 1: 16 [16] For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek. 1 Corinthians 1: 24 [24] But unto them which are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God, and the wisdom of God. Christians have the baptism of the Holy Ghost as the power of God. This Spirit of truth brings forth the rightly divided word of truth or the gospel of Jesus Christ as the power of God unto salvation unto us who believe. Where the word of truth is is where the Lord is as he is in our hearts by faith and wherever two or more are gathered in his name in prayer, worship or praise. We see that we have the power to become the sons of God and the proper gospel to follow unto God. Islam does not. What god might Islam serve? Many Jews served the same ones according to Jesus because they came not through him. They too hated him. John 8:42-45 [42] Jesus said unto them, If God were your Father, ye would love me: for I proceeded forth and came from God; neither came I of myself, but he sent me. [43] Why do ye not understand my speech? even because ye cannot hear my word. [44] Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it. [45] And because I tell you the truth, ye believe me not. It appears according to Jesus all who do not come through him nor have the right doctrine nor lineage serve Satan and the Devil is their father. Please make sure every aspect of your faith is right.
